Google September 2022 Core Algorithm Update

The official Google Search Central account has announced the new "September 2022 Core Algorithm Update", which is a major change to Google's algorithm.

You will notice the changes on your site within days, and Google has clarified that there is no confirmed information about the impact of the update on the results of (SERPs) worldwide and in different languages.

This update is more comprehensive than the previous update and is expected to affect search results in most languages.

Danny Sullivan commented that the core update would make the previous update on helpful content more explicit, "Maybe the helpful content signal alone wasn't enough to tip the scales and produce a change in someone's particular situation, but when we do other updates (core, product reviews), it might add into that and be more significant…."

It should be noted that the core update September (HCU) is part of the core update, and he noted that the research community considers updating helpful content as unimportant, but it is expected that it will change the search results a lot.

Danny Sullivan also said, "Google's previous series of Review Updates seemed only to catch the really obvious pages. So, based on the performance of those updates, I've got my expectations dialed low for the Helpful Update.

The latest kernel update was the May 2022 broad kernel update; it was an important and quick update.
